Nice Bike/Non-Bike Jacket

So I'm looking for a jacket I can wear on and off the bike.  I don't give a s--t about fashion, but I don't really see myself walking down the Champs-Elysées in day-glo yellow.    I fancy the paramo range, but they're eye-wateringly expensive.

Any suggestions?

Try the Rapha outlet store if you're passing Bicester - or give them a ring.  They usually have a decent selection of rain jackets at hefty discounts.  I have a City rain jacket which is pretty cool.  Last time I rode by they had some blue ones in stock.

I'm normally disinterested in Rapha, but I'll be hooning down the M40 next week and had no idea that they had an outlet store. It might be worth a detour, just to see what the fuss is about, like.

Are currently 50% off. They're awesome quality.
I use a x-series. Comfy, can wear in heat and sweat it, have worn at 0℃ noon days and kept warm (just add a thermal.) I carry a 5quid spray jacket to keep the sweat from being blown off and ride comfortably at 1am.
Gore-tex look nice but I can't help regarding wind research. The x-series breathes really well though, beads water somewhat but if heavy or wanting to keep your sweat warm the cheap old wind breaker wins warm well with wool or jacket.

Mine must be old, I think this 1 is similar.

They are likable quality.
I think grey 1 above with blue neck much the same. Looks comfy. Looks quality.

I wear a trespass softshell when it gets really cold for cycling (like sub zero) and use it for general walking/out and about when it's cooler, sitting at the rugby etc. It's not in their range anymore but it offers a decent level of waterproofness and breathability and importantly for me zipped pockets plus an internal zipped pocket + ski pass pocket (oh and a zip off wire hood)

They do some that are decently fashionable/decent fit, this is a sporty look but not shouting cycling. Depends on what look you're after for dual use purposes.

I have a Howies casual jacket. I bought mine direct from their website in a sale. Doesn't look like it is currently available direct from Howies, but Wiggle have it.

How about this handsome fellow:

Depends if you need waterproof/warm.

Remember you could just wear a 'normal' jacket like a Berghaus, doesn't have to be cycling brand.

I use a Rapha City Rain Jacket but they don't do them anymore; may do something different in their current urban range.  Orange colour, so less offensive than day-glo.  Vulpine do some on/off bike jackets, if they're still trading.

I can recommend the Rapha City Packable rain jacket. I bought it specifically for off the bike.

Vulpine also do a nice newer jacket the French Workers Jacket although I've not got one so can't say how good it is.
