Golazo Cycling Ltd are bringing you the happiest, most relaxing and stress-free ride in the universe. No timing hanging over you – just time to enjoy time on your bike on closed roads in the company of hundreds of other like-minded spirits.
This cycling event is perfect for beginners, family orientated cyclists, riders who want a challenge and raise money for their chosen charity, and those of you who prefer to chill on the bike.
The organisers are inviting cyclists to come and enjoy the flattest route in the whole of the UK and take a relaxing ride on completely closed roads as part of the Mellow Vélo family. The Mellow Vélo ride is supported with a high quality medical and moto security back up as well as having three pit stops which in addition to serving the usual sustenance offer the likes of sausage rolls and cookies for those who fancy something more substantial. The Mellow Vélo ride also benefits from a convenient HQ just off the A1 near Peterborough, a relaxed time of the day start and over 7 hours of fully closed roads to take advantage of a short or long route. The long route being approximately 80 miles and the short being 52 miles.
Jessica Lockhart, the Event Manager from Golazo Cycling Ltd, say, ‘We’re are very excited about the launch of this brand new, fun, inclusive and chilled event. We’ve been approached by many people and organisations over the last few years, including many different charities, asking for an event that is going to be more relaxed and is less demanding than the racing and competitive events we do. In response to this pull from the market, we had the view to getting more people, of all ages, out on their bikes by introducing a hassle-free and uniquely enjoyable ride together.’
The date of the Mellow Vélo ride is Sunday 3rd June 2018, with a laid-back start time of 1.15pm. Mellow Vélo ride will bring out the smiles for miles and miles, and get ready to be cheered on by masses of spectators around the route.
The Mellow Vélo ride is part of the Tour of Cambridgeshire cycling festival. Book your place today at www.tourofcambridgeshire.com and be part of all of the most chilled ride around.
