OK, I've checked with Dave, I was quoted an old rule. That was on the /rules page, but has now been removed.

I think you can still only win 1 stage per race, but overall prizes are not limited to one per season.

That was just when it was the 3 bikes up for grabs

1 stage per race makes sense, plus, nobody going to mount two pumps on one bike 1

Awesome, thanks for checking. Enthusiasm for future races renewed!

No, the stage winner has to have won a stage in this race already, not the season. The overall prize is the one per season.

I think it was more to do when it was just the 3 grand tours were bikes to win. Not sure

Gkam84, can you show us where this is stated?

Fantastic. Hopefully the stage winner will already have won a prize this season and I will get a dhb buff, just what I need just now, maybe throw in some leg warmers too?

Win as many 2nd and 3rd places as you like and 1 stage per race if you want. 3

Prizes

The list of prizes for each competition will be posted in the run-up to the competition. These will include an overall prize for the highest points total of the competition, and daily stage prizes.

You can only win one major prize (first prize for a competition) during the season, and you can only win one prize for the highest stage score in a single competition. In the event that you place first a second time in either of these scenarios, the prize will be awarded to the first player without a win, and you will be offered a runner's up prize if one is being offered for the prize you've won. There's no cash alternative for any prize offered. Prizes will be posted for free within the UK only. Overseas postage can be arranged at the winner's expense. It is a condition of entry that you agree to join the road.cc mailing list, and the mailing lists of selected supporters of the game. None of these parties will share your email address with anyone else, and full unsubscribe details will be included with every email sent.

There will also be an overall prize for the highest score, a prize for the best single stage score and a purists' overall prize. Further prizes will be announced as they are confirmed.

In the event of a tie, the following criteria, where applicable, will be used to determine the winner:

Highest single stage score posted within a competition
Fewest transfers used within a competition
Most scoring riders on a stage
Highest scoring individual on a stage
Coin toss

Where is that written? The "How to Play" section has a different section on prizes that does not include any of the one-prize-only language.

Also, I guess that still doesn't keep me from a 3rd prize, yay!

I don't know if the one win a season is still in effect or if its just one stage per race you can win a prize...

It was you could only win one 1st place overall prize a season and one stage per race.

Are you serious? It certainly doesn't say that anywhere now. Would be a bit misleading to not give out prizes to repeat winners without that stipulation written out anywhere. Anyway, still haven't heard anything about the first one! I'll try Dave again via email.

I have nothing to do with the prizes I'm afraid, Dave sorts all that out between the winners and Wiggle. If you have an issue, you can email Dave Dave [at] road.cc

Gkam84: when do prizes get sent out? Not to be a bother but I still haven't gotten the Paris-Nice prize, nor have I gotten an email saying it was sent or anything...

Just 1,2,3,5,9,18 for me, not as good as I had hoped, then Oliver, Villella and Henao

3rd place is going to be really tight. Not sure if Chaves and his stupid last man points will keep me out or not. Will have to wait and see!

Meanwhile Kwiatkowski gets 0 points for the POINTS classification. Not mad or anything.

Just scanned the top 5, no-one has Spilak and either Dumoulin or Peraud is missing from their teams. So it's a 1-2 for the forum, unfortunately for me you are the number 1

In all fairness...the top 12 in this comp from the fs league are all in the top 50 overall .....that's a win for fs in my books
