TdF Stage 6

At last, a transfer might pay off. Brought Hoogerland and Duque into my team last night given the lumpy nature of the stage (and the Hoogerman's repeated breaks at the Giro), and they're part of a 5 man breakaway with a 5'45" gap at 55K, with a tailwind to boot.

Other breakaway members: Roux, Malori, Westra (so two VCD riders in there)

There is a nice climbing DS, costs 7 credits and already won 2 polka dots this year 26

Put in Feillu and Vichot (total fluke) the day before yesterday and I'd thought I'd blown it when I didn't have Gilbert and dropped 10 places. Today it paid off. 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 15th and 16th and two Sky riders. Won my first stage and up to 5th. Now for transfers. Which DS is good at climbing, anyone?

well i thought taking out ebh for gilbert was bad and cost me, but the 5 point difference in the points for the two was made up by the fact i put in uran for mollema, solid day again, now to leave it the same and get jerome in

5th overall today, extremely pleased with that. Thanks to Duque for getting in the break and Arnold Jeannesson, no I've never heard of him either.

I'm sticking with Thor for a couple more days then he's gonna get the punt

But my team for the flats aren't looking all bad for the hills either 4

Only 95 today 164 in the TdF but keeping my "around the 100" in the overall, moved to 92

80 for me, another boring average day, maintaining my season long form, but languishing at 250 now for the tdf not good enough. I put in dupont, based on past form and will continue to tweak team towards clmbs, but keep on missing out on rojas gil because I am counting on thor keeping yellow till the transition stages.

But is says in the scoring that only 1 and 2 score on Cat 3

It only says that cause i just changed it; the info I had before the tour was incorrect.

Pesky rule changes.

I've done that. Based on the new information, which is entirely different from the information I had before the Tdf 39 -

HC: 10,6,4,3,2,1
Cat 1: 6,5,4,3,2,1
Cat 2: 4,3,2,1
Cat 3: 2,1
Cat 4: 1

HC has the same number of scoring riders as Cat 1, so extra points for being first/second over. Cat 1 stays the same, Cat 2 and Cat 3 amended.

As before, no KM points for a summit finish.

113 points for me today. The breakaway paid off for me, with 23 points from Hoogerland and Duque.

So not a bad day for me 3rd, 7th, 12th, 15th, 19th plus all the bonuses for GC, KM and points and then a bonus for having a sky rider 4

Just wish Mollema had left it a bit longer and gone for it cause i have him

Well they are talking up Cancellara but cant see it

Gilbert will go for it as he only has 5 points on Rojas in the green now, but he might also help "gripe-all" after his moaning yesterday

But i would like to see Gilbert, Hushovd, Evans and Jerome rolling home is last again 4

Don't really care if it's Gilbert or Thor... as long as it is one of those two 4

Any ideas who were 3rd - 6th over the first Cat 3 climb? Since the riders only get points for 1st and 2nd, no-one seems to have mentioned who followed Hoogerland and Roux over the top.

It might not matter to the Tour, but it does for this game!

don't think it does. the rationale for the KM points is that the number of scoring riders is the number of points available.

Before the tour started the Wiki page stated that's be 1 through 6 for Cat3 climbs, which seemed a bit excessive. And it was; it's only 1&2, so only 1&2 will score in the game.

Dave,

You might want to change the stage listing info when you get a chance, to reflect the new KM stage points.

What's the definitive scoring system for Cat 2/1/HC, please?

But is says in the scoring that only 1 and 2 score on Cat 3

For the Tour de France the following points are available:
HC: 10,6,4,3,2,1
Cat 1: 6,5,4,3,2,1
Cat 2: 4,3,2,1
Cat 3: 2,1
Cat 4: 1

Tail wind, a few hills, 11.17 lead and chucking it down with rain, could be a nice day for a break
