1950s Much-Binding-in-the-Marsh ROSPA Road Safety Song

A road safety song from the early 1950s for a ROSPA campaign.

For anyone who is 80+ or older in years or has exquisite taste, you'll recognise a rewritten version of the theme tune to Much-Binding-in-the-Marsh, a pre-Goon Show (late 1940s) comedy from the BBC Home Service.

Beautiful, but even then you can see the motor-normativity.

Why? In 1950 there were 5012 road deaths in the UK, for 4 million cars.
