Giant P SL0 Disc tubeless kit

Giant PSL0 disc rims (2015) are marked as "tubeless compatible" and they have a very solid neon green rim tape installed which to my untrained eye looks pretty airtight. Does anyone know if it's necessary to replace this rim tape with tubeless tape, and if so what is the best tape to use? As I understand it they are 21mm rims

Many thanks

Toby

The rim tape is just nylon rim tape

Your bike or wheels should have been supplied with a small bag containing 2 x rolls of adhesive rim tape, a manual and 2 x tubeless valves.

If not, go back to the retailer you bought the bike from, and ask for this kit. Its supplied with all tubeless compatible wheels on Giant bikes whether road or mountain

You then want a good sealant like Stan's No-tubes and suitable tires (no experience of those on road bikes myself, just mountain bikes).
