Vitus reveals upgraded Energie range - new bikes are all 1x and they're all SRAM too

Carbon-fibre cyclocross bikes come with improved specs for 2020, and there's a new SRAM Force AXS build

Vitus has unveiled its carbon-fibre Energie cyclocross bikes for 2020. The T700 high modulus frame hasn't changed since last year but the brand has added a SRAM Force AXS build along with improved specs across the range and new colour schemes. Vitus uses SRAM 1x systems on all three bikes; there's no Shimano GRX option.

The frame comes with full internal cable routing to prevent the ingress of mud and water and to increase comfort when shouldering the bike during racing, and the fork is full-carbon too. Both the frame and fork come with 12mm thru axles and mudguard mounts.

The top level bike is the Energie CRX eTap (£2,999.99) which uses a single ring setup built around the all-new SRAM Force eTap AXS groupset (eTap referring to SRAM's wireless shift system).

The Force AXS groupset combines a 38-tooth single chainring with a 10-33-tooth cassette and Force HRD disc brakes. You also get tubeless-ready 38mm Prime BlackEdition Carbon Disc wheelset paired with Vee XCX TLR tyres and Zipp Service Course finishing kit.

Meh, £2300 for the CRX which seems to have a low gear of ~33".
