Kask eyewear to debut at Tour Down Under

Helmet brand to offer sunglasses for the first time

The first glasses from helmet brand Kask will be used by Pro Continental team Drapac Pro at Australia’s Tour Down Under next week.

Italian brand Kask provides the helmets for Team Sky, although Sky already has an eyewear sponsor in Oakley.

Kask says that the sunglasses are designed to work best with Kask helmets although, of course, there’s no reason why you have to use the two together.

Kask already makes visors for bike, ski and mountaineering helmets, but this is its first venture into sunglasses. The model pictured here looks a little like a Poc design in terms of shape and coverage.

Those are all the details we have at present. More info, including prices, will be revealed in spring, ahead of a summer launch.

What are they thinking.., Kask has been on the market with sunglasses (and goggles) since a year ago already... Kask Eye 1 is great for biking, sits great for both road and mtb. Goggles Mask 3 for DH with tearoffs or roll offs..

I had a Kask helmet and hated it.

Lazer is much better for me.

I wonder if they've solved the problem of if the sunglasses arm sits neatly over or under the rear head frame (just behind the ear). That (and the chinstrap wearing out within 3 years, with no replacements available) are the only things that I dislike about Kask helmets. "Under" can feel uncomfortable and "over" makes the arms slip up and down occasionally

Drop the distributor an email. They sent me a new strap for nothing. Incidentally my Radars were terrible with my Kask Vertigo. My new Jawbreakers are superb with it.

I appreciate making eyewear is tricky, in terms of defining a "look" but POC will be very interested.
