The Van Rysel Road Cycling Cool Weather Leg Warmers – which are really knee warmers because they don't reach down to your ankles – offer a great performance and fit, and they're an absolute bargain.
Like most warmers, these are made from a fleece-backed Super Roubaix style material, they are soft against the skin, and they trap plenty of warmth.
They come with a DWR (durable water repellent) coating too, which works well to keep light rain and/or road spray out for a good hour.
These are made from three panels, one at the front and two at the rear. Splitting the rear into two panels, one above the other, gives a bent shape. This helps with comfort because it reduces the bunching of material as you pedal, although it does mean there's a seam right behind your knee.
Van Rysel uses a 30mm-wide silicone gripper at the thigh and a 50mm gripper at the calf to keep everything comfortably in place.
Considering the quality and performance, the price is almost unbelievable. Bargain!
