rapha wiggo supporter jerseyRapha Wiggo Supporter's jersey released
When Team Sky appointed Rapha as their new clothing sponsor at the beginning of the year, the London-based clothing firm set about launching a three-tier clothing range to cover a range of prices for different riders. So you can buy the Pro jersey that's the same as the team race in, a cheaper version that Rapha call a replica jersey, and the the Supporter jersey, a relaxed fit design that is now available in a special Bradley Wiggins edition. It costs £45, which by Rapha standards is pretty cheap.
The new Supporter's Wiggo Jersey looks very much like the jersey Brad races in, but it’s made in a much more relaxed fit for those who don’t want the second skin look - not always so flattering. It's likely that this jersey will be worn off the bike - ideal for shouting your support for Brad from the side of the road in his next race... whenever that might be.
As well as the £45 adults jersey, there’s a £35 jersey for children. Both are made from a breathable polycotton fabric with two large pockets and a quarter-length zip. The have the signature blue central stripe and arm band and the same logos as feature on the pro jerseys. This edition includes Wiggo’s surname, mod target logo and Union Jack details. His palmares are printing on the rear of the jersey.
Wiggo isn’t having a great season this year, having pulled out of the Giro d’Italia with a spot of man flu [we're not completely sure that's how Team Sky described it - Ed], and it’s now looking like he might not race the Tour de France due to a knee injury, so you show your supportwith this jersey.

Before we all lay into Man U (one of my favourite pastimes), let's not forget that the Rapha "Sky replica" kid's jersey comes in at fifty quid. Thirty five for a polycotton job is a complete riphoff.
Which race am I supporting him in? Or is it the road to recovery?
If it's same material as the standard version it feels horrible to touch.

admittedly its off-peak now, but why would I pay £42 for a jersey when I can pick one up from sports-direct et al for £15 (as i did, full kit as well
I dont think £35 is too bad, but for the tiny amount of material involved in a kids shirt I am pretty sure the margins are enough to drop the price and get the youngsters hooked really early
and re. the recent forum debate about Teamsky kits, as a cycling dad I would be more than happy for my boys to wear a team sky top instead of a football shirt!
My kids (ages 4 and 7) had to wear a Team jersey to school last week to show their support to their favourite team.
In the end they were Nottingham Forest jerseys, but had this been out then, and priced sensibly for mini-humans I would have been sorely tempted
£35 is good for Rapha indeed, but for the little-uns it still seems a bit expensive - a £10 drop and bosh, done deal!
Interesting comment Martin. Now, I'm not in any way defending Rapha, but seeing as you mentioned football jerseys, I had a look at the Manchester United website and a kids jersey there costs £42. Is that too a 'bit expensive'?
Disgustingly expensive, and Manchester United are far from the worst unfortunately.
There should be a £25 cap on kids kits.
Charge what the hell you like for adults, if they are stupid enough to try and shrink their expansive guts in sweatshop polyester that's fine but price the kids ones reasonably.
Bet they're chuffed they chose the same day to launch this one as Team Sky chose to mention Wiggo's hurty knee...

O no, I am first to comment on this....Its Wiggo, Its Rapha, It is actually a decent price for a change.
But I will repeat, Its Wiggo, Its Rapha....."Pole Barge Touching With A NOT"
