Nationwide search for 'King of Spin and Queen of Cadence' enters its fourth year...

Dates have been announced for the Rollapaluza National Series 2013, the fourth year of the high-octane roller racing series, with heats starting next week in Bristol, London, Sheffield, Leeds, Glasgow, Birmingham, MIlton Keynes leading to the National Grand Finale in London, to find “Britain’s King of Spin and Queen of Cadence.”

The series finale takes place on 13 April at the Vibe Bar at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane in East London, and like the heats in London and Bristol, will be sponsored by technical clothing and accessories brand U34, which will also running a competition on Rollapaluza’s Facebook page for fans of the series to win goodies.

All rounds start at 6pm and the ones in Bristol, Milton Keynes and the qualifier in London are free to race or spectate. Rounds in Glasgow, Leeds and Birmingham, as well as the Grand Finale in London, cost £5, while Sheffield costs £10 - but for that, you get a beer and plate of pasta at the venue, Nonnas restaurant.

The fastest riders from each heat go on to the National Finals, and more details, including how to enter, can be found on the Rollapaluza website.

He doesn't get to ride his Colnago as often as he'd like, and freely admits he's much more adept at cooking than fettling with bikes.
