STOLEN: Star of the Show!

Van Nicholas Astraeus already in demand at Eurobike

The Van Nicholas Astraeus has already proven itself to be the ‘must-have’ bike at this year’s Eurobike – it’s been stolen.

Before the doors had even opened, and despite a comprehensive security system, thieves made off with the flagship racer - over €10,000 worth of thoroughbred Titanium.

At around 7pm last night, the thieves took advantage of the hustle and bustle of the pre-show set-up and proved what we already knew – that the first Seamless Hydroformed Titanium bike on the market is simply irresistible.

We’ve yet to have confirmation, but so far it seems the Van Nicholas Astraeus was the only bike at the show that the thieves felt was worth the risk.

The topic of security has been raised and many have remarked that the most vulnerable time for any exhibition is setting up and dismantling.

Van Nicholas are sending a replacement bike to the show from their base in The Netherlands, but if you can’t wait until tomorrow to get a glimpse of our stolen star, log on to www.vannicholas.com for all the pictures and information you need.

And if you happen to see a Van Nicholas Astraeus out on the roads around Eurobike – or going for £50 on Brick Lane in the East End of London this weekend, where all nicked bikes seem to end up -  call the police pronto.
