Annual quest to find fastest men and women over the rollers reaches climax after track meet at nearby Velodrome

Rollapaluza’s third annual quest to find the ‘King of Spin’ and ‘Queen of Cadence’ on the rollers is almost at its end, with just the Grand Finale to come at the Half Moon Pub in London’s Herne Hill on Friday 6 April, the same day the nearby velodrome hosts its traditional Good Friday International Track Meeting.

Beer, pizza, music and some high-octane racing are promised at the event, which starts at 6pm, with £750 cash prizes on offer for competitors who have battled through the qualifiers held in London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Eastbourne, Leeds, Sheffield and Bristol, as well as some yet to be announced wild card entries.

The videos below, shot at the Birmingham, London and Glasgow qualifiers, give a glimpse of what’s in store if you’ve never attended a Rollapaluza event before.

We can think of much worse places to spend Good Friday if you happen to be in London, so if you’re in the area over Easter, get down there and cheer them on – it’s just a fiver to spectate.
