The first 200 people to buy the recently released Tour of Britain 2010 highlights DVD will be entered into a prize draw to win a Tour of Britain musette, which includes VIP Hospitality at the 2011 edition, the chance to follow a stage from within the race convoy and a Prostate Cancer Charity Points Jersey signed by last year’s winner of the category, Greg Henderson of Team Sky. The other key protagonists in the 2010 race; overall winner Michael Albasini, sprint jersey winner Michal Golas and triple stage winner Andre Greipel have also added their signatures, in addition to Henderson, to a race programme to offer another valuable souvenir to the prize winner.
The prize also includes a signed copy of Manx road cyclist Steve Joughlin’s recently released autobiography Pocket Rocket, taking readers through the career of one of the Isle of Man’s most successful cyclists, who boasts several Milk Race stage wins in his palmarès. The musette is packed with further Tour of Britain merchandise, such as a T-Shirt, cap and headscarf, while 10 runners-up will also be drawn out of the hat to receive goody bags, packed with souvenirs of the 2010 race.
The 2010 Tour of Britain produced some exciting racing, and fans now have the opportunity to re-live the pivotal moments with the release of the race’s first ever highlights DVD, released in conjunction with Provision Clothing. Widely acclaimed as the best ever edition of the race, the 2010 Tour of Britain took place over eight stages, taking in several new locations including Swansea, Norfolk and Essex, with the stages in the Staffordshire Moorlands, Wales and the West Country proving particularly important in the battle for the overall leaders’ yellow jersey.
There are 90 minutes of highlights from the 2010 Tour within the double-disc set, as well as bonus features and an extensive rec-cap on the 2009 race, won by Norwegian rider Edvald Boasson Hagen. Copies of the DVD, priced at £12.99 can be purchased from www.tourofbritain.co.uk/shop, which will automatically enter you into the prize draw. The 2011 Tour of Britain will take place between 11-18 September, starting in Scotland and finishing in London, with full route details set to be announced at the National launch in the Spring.
