Cannondale has totally redesigned its flagship carbon road race bike with an all-new frame that is more aerodynamic, stiffer and comfortable than the bike first introduced in 2011 and last updated in 2015, with wider tyre clearance and revised geometry with choice of rim or disc brakes.

4. Technology predicting cyclists' movements to be trialled in London buses

An artificial intelligence camera system that can give bus drivers early warning of potential dangers is to be tested on public routes with a Transport for London-approved operator. Camden-based Humanising Autonomy say their ‘deep learning’ software can predict manoeuvres from vulnerable road users and identify hazards two seconds quicker than a human.

5. Land Rover dealer claim the Discovery is the "best car for cyclists" (tweet backfires)

Frome Thursday's live blog: a small Land Rover dealer in Thornhill, Canada received a mixed global response by claiming that the Land Rover Discovery is the ultimate four-wheeled companion for your bike, thanks to its ample storage space and 'ruggedness'. 6. Scott launches Addict RC - aero, integration and discs for lightweight racer

Scott has launched a new Addict RC with a focus on aerodynamics and integration whilst maintaining the low weight this bike has always been known for since it first debuted in 2008. But it's really all about the brand new handlebar and stem that provides full internal routing for electronic and mechanical disc brakes.

7. Claimant's barrister in controversial Brushell vs Hazeldean case shares his view

The solicitor for Gemma Brushett, the pedestrian who sued cyclist Robert Hazeldean for hitting her although she was found to be partly liable, shared a blog with his thoughts on the case. Aneurin Moloney says in the opening paragraph: "I accept that I am not an independent observer of the case.  But I was one of only a handful of people who were present for the 2 days of the trial, and can add some important detail to that put out in the newspapers."

9. DfT blocks Chris Boardman’s plans for thousands of continental-style zebra crossings on Manchester side streets

A plan by Greater Manchester cycling and walking commissioner Chris Boardman to add zebra crossings to 20,000 side streets across the city region has been scotched by the Department for Transport.Read more here

Arriving at road.cc in 2017 via 220 Triathlon Magazine, Jack dipped his toe in most jobs on the site and over at eBikeTips before being named the new editor of road.cc in 2020, much to his surprise. His cycling life began during his students days, when he cobbled together a few hundred quid off the back of a hard winter selling hats (long story) and bought his first road bike - a Trek 1.1 that was quickly relegated to winter steed, before it was sadly pinched a few years later. Creatively replacing it with a Trek 1.2, Jack mostly rides this bike around local cycle paths nowadays, but when he wants to get the racer out and be competitive his preferred events are time trials, sportives, triathlons and pogo sticking - the latter being another long story.
