Storm Erik brought grim conditions for #MyCycingWeekend

With heavy showers, strong winds and very little sunshine, there were suddenly many better ways to spend the weekend than riding a bike!

But #MyCyclingWeekend would be complete without a little spin, even if it was just straight to the cafe for a large slice of 'feel-better' cake.

Chances are that if you headed out, you and your bike returned home with a healthy covering of mud. Mudguards, although not that pretty were certainly welcome and I'm jealous of those of you with disc brakes.

Our winner this week looks to have his winter setup absolutely nailed. But even the best winter bikes need lots of cleaning. Good luck shifting that drivetrain grime Rob!

Rob wins a very cosy B'Twin 5000 Dual Fabric Neckwarmer from Decathlon. Check out their Instagram page here.

We had a great selection of photos sent in. Have a little look through the best ones below and try not to be jealous of those in sunnier places!

Son of a Marathon runner, Nephew of a National 24hr Champion, the racing genetics have completely passed him by. Liam spends his time plodding his way through cyclocross races, very busy not winning. As an advocate for perfectly clean chains, he can be found cleaning his bike instead of training. A shop mechanic, Liam has many helpful skills, such as being able to identify 'cross tubs by the tread pattern alone. If you bump into him, he'll probably be eating.
