Arriving at road.cc in 2017 via 220 Triathlon Magazine, Jack dipped his toe in most jobs on the site and over at eBikeTips before being named the new editor of road.cc in 2020, much to his surprise. His cycling life began during his students days, when he cobbled together a few hundred quid off the back of a hard winter selling hats (long story) and bought his first road bike - a Trek 1.1 that was quickly relegated to winter steed, before it was sadly pinched a few years later. Creatively replacing it with a Trek 1.2, Jack mostly rides this bike around local cycle paths nowadays, but when he wants to get the racer out and be competitive his preferred events are time trials, sportives, triathlons and pogo sticking - the latter being another long story.

If one scrolls down a bit from that nice NL street scene you'll find a deliberate close pass on someone using a speed pedelec and the same user gets pulled out on by a van a few days earlier. if people think that Dutch drivers are any more considerate than ours they are deluded.
I've been commuting by bike everyday for several years. When I drive my car, I feel like I'm about to fall asleep. I more or less hate driving now.
And your car feels like some huge ungainly barge, like trying to move an oil tanker around the streets (or is that just me?)
No, I also drive an amphibious vehicle. Tricky to park but causes a real splash at the beach.
Just bought a blue fruit bowl with gold detailing from some random bloke down the pub with a brummie accent. Looks hideous but it was going cheap.
Cyclists make better drivers? Shock fucking horror. Least surprising news of the day.
I'll check the hedge on my way past Beulah Hill tonight.
Given the average age that Collies live to it would more likely have to be Pickles Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandchild that you would need.....
