road.cc 10th birthday bash: prizes won, beers are served!

We had a lovely ride and the weather played ball for our 10th birthday bash; not only that but our guests also rode away with loads of amazing prizes!

road.cc is 10 in case you didn't know... and we've celebrated in the best way possible, with a lovely ride around the hills of Somerset and Wiltshire followed by copious amounts of pizza and beer!

Not only that, but all of our guests left with plenty of goodies to ride home with; everyone got their hands on Clif Bars and some Clif Blok energy chews to keep them fuelled up on the ride, and there was also a big prize draw... four lucky riders got to upgrade their winter steed with a set of Pirelli 4S 28mm tyres, and we also gave away two sets of Ekoi shades, three sets of RH+ mitts and 2 Camelbak Podium Chill bottles.

Not only that, but we also had loads of HideMyBell mounts/bells to give away! Plenty of guests left with the handy devices that keep your Garmin out-front and a ding-a-ling underneath. We're also going to be getting a special run of HideMyBells made up in road.cc 10th anniversary colours, so look out for them on the site where we'll be giving them away in another big old prize draw.

A big thank you to everyone who turned out to wish us a happy birthday, and here's to the next decade!

Arriving at road.cc in 2017 via 220 Triathlon Magazine, Jack dipped his toe in most jobs on the site and over at eBikeTips before being named the new editor of road.cc in 2020, much to his surprise. His cycling life began during his students days, when he cobbled together a few hundred quid off the back of a hard winter selling hats (long story) and bought his first road bike - a Trek 1.1 that was quickly relegated to winter steed, before it was sadly pinched a few years later. Creatively replacing it with a Trek 1.2, Jack mostly rides this bike around local cycle paths nowadays, but when he wants to get the racer out and be competitive his preferred events are time trials, sportives, triathlons and pogo sticking - the latter being another long story.

Been visiting the site pretty much every day since 2012 when London Cyclist mentioned you in his blog (I was a proper noob back then).
Great site, keep doing what you're doing guys...and happy birthday!
