Cycling Video Round-Up – all cycling disciplines captured in this week’s video work’s party - road, CX, BMX, MTB and some hippy stuff.

A pick of the best cycling videos and not a Christmas one in sight, oh, wait.

It’s a Christmas jumper free zone here at the road.cc video round-up, well, unless you count those chaps mucking about on BMX and mountainbikes. If the onset of the festive season is getting to you then there’s some adventure biking to disappear into and a really good reason not to get a party haircut.

Believe in Bikes

Trek bikes give us their view of the world by bike. Geography may divide us but we are united by the power of the bicycle; a simple, elegant, solution to many of the world’s most complex problems. I’m sure they’d like more of them to be Trek bikes.

Rubber Side Down - Danny Summerhill

Danny Summerhill isn’t afraid to mix it up, racing on the road for  the UnitedHealthcare team, cyclo-cross for Maxxis Shimano and BMX with the kids down the local track. For all this we can forgive him his “cereal killer” joke. Just.

IAM Cycling - KEEP FIGHTING - Episode Two

This is the second part of the now defunct IAM Cycling team’s behind the scenes look at the 2017 Tour de France that we saw the first episode of a couple of weeks back. We join them here on Stage 4 trying to get through the first week with the cobbles and all the crashes…

Hannah Payton's National Trophy

A damp and muddy insight to Team Kinesis UK rider Hannah Payton and her cyclocross season where she secures the National Trophy series title. extra points for matching bar-tape and fork to jersey there, well done Kinesis.

Blaze Six Day

A dozen Blaze bike light riders take over the Six Day London track to perform a unique Madison race at the Olympic velodrome.

Barber on rollers

No, I said I wanted my hair in rollers, not done on rollers.

Donhou Bicycles

Here’s London based frame-builder Tom Donhou explaining how Donhou Bicycles came to be, and then what possessed them to try and make a bike that could go 100 miles per hour on the flat. Look at those lovely frames, gasp at that chainring, wonder at that awesome Ford Zephyr.

DEATHGRIP - First Glimpse Teaser

Brendan Fairclough is one of mountainbiking’s most influential riders when it comes to falling down a hill with style and he’s teamed up with Clay Porter, one of mountainbiking’s most experienced film-makers, to produce DEATHGRIP. It’s taken two years of the pair traveling the globe to create their vision that’s going to debut in April 2017. Until then here’s just a little tantilising teaser.

Jamis Renegade : Starring Thomas Turner

Meet Thomas Turner from Canton in Georgia, a regular guy who just also happens to be a Jamis Factory Pilot and Renegade owner. He spends a lot of time outdoors, whittlin’, huntin’, shootin’, wrenchin’, chainsawin’, gardnin’, beardin’, bike ridin’ and beardin’. Putting the ‘Adventure’ into Adventure Biking

Nigel Sylvester - GO! 3 | Tokyo

This looks like a normal day for Pro BMX rider Nigel Sylvester as he flies from LA to Tokyo to ride his BMX. I’m sure that must get quite wearing by about day three. Or not.

Ilumina Tu Navidad

Awww, it’s a Happy Christmas message from the Movistar team. Do you think Quintana is small enough to be the fairy on top of the tree? ¡Felices Fiestas!

On that festive note we at road.cc hope you manage to get out on the bike this weekend and don’t have to fight your way round the shops.

Jo Burt has spent the majority of his life riding bikes, drawing bikes and writing about bikes. When he's not scribbling pictures for the whole gamut of cycling media he writes words about them for road.cc and when he's not doing either of those he's pedaling. Then in whatever spare minutes there are in between he's agonizing over getting his socks, cycling cap and bar-tape to coordinate just so. And is quietly disappointed that yours don't He rides and races road bikes a bit, cyclo-cross bikes a lot and mountainbikes a fair bit too. Would rather be up a mountain.
