Metropolitan Police.jpgLondon woman charged after driver chased cyclist and knocked him from bike
The Metropolitan Police have revealed that a woman has been charged in connection with an incident in London last February in which a cyclist was seriously injured.
Jusine Henshaw-Brown, aged 24 and from Stoke Newington, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and bailed to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on 19 October.
The incident took place in Stoke Newington on the evening of 10 February, with the Metropolitan Police saying in a witness appeal at the time that the cyclist and driver had initially been involved in an argument.
The motorist, reported to have been on her mobile phone, then pursued him in her vehicle to Victorian Grove, where she allegedly knocked him from his bike then drove away from the scene.
The cyclist, freelance bike courier Damien Doughty, was treated at the Royal London Hospital for injuries including a broken hand, lacerated liver and punctured lung, and also suffered internal bleeding.
