Fancy flexing your creative muscles to produce a celebratory poster for the Yorkshire Grand Départ of this year's Tour de France? The prize is mainly the glory of having your work exhibitied on Tyneside, but there's also a goodie bag and a signed print for the winner too.
The Cycle Hub, who are based at their shop and café on the bank of the River Tyne in the centre of Newcastle, and describe themselves a a social cycling promotion and facilitation enterprise… blimey, have teamed up with cycle holiday company Saddle Skedaddle to run the competition.
If your poster wins, you will receive a signed print from artist Muro Buro, who did the design work for The Cycle Hub, who are offering a goodie bag as an extra prize with their competition partner Saddle Skedaddle.
The entries will be judged by a panel of leading North East creatives and cyclists, with the winner and next-best 13 entries exhibited in The Cycle Hub as part of Newcastle’s Late Shows culture festival on 16 - 17 May. The posters will then remain on show at the Hub for the duration of the Tour de France.
The deadline for entries is May 2 and entrants must be 16 or over.
Stylistically, anything goes, but the finished product must be printable and framable in portrait on A2 (420x594mm) sized paper.
Entries should be submitted via email to marketing [at] skedaddle.co.uk and should be saved as high resolution (300dpi) PDF, EPS, TIFF or JPG in CMYK.
