Virtually impossible to stop repeat offenders

Banned from driving on numerous previous occassions. Convicted of driving whilst banned, without insurance and with positive drug and alcohol tests at the crash scene.

= suspended sentence and another (previous bans having proven ineffectual) temporary driving ban.

No wonder that rogue drivers have little fear from the courts system, especially if money is no object.

Perhaps they felt it would be unfair on the other inmates if they jailed her?

I literally came here to say the same thing.  She has shown repeated and flagrant contempt for the law.   Can you think of any other crime that by the 6th individual offense - prison still not being mandated.

so the judge, noting that Price thinks herself above the law, confirms her in that opinion by sentencing her to a driving ban for flouting the same - how is that not making an ass of the law?

Price herself showed the contempt in which she holds a driving ban when she admitted that she should not have been driving - not because she was banned from driving, but only because she was drugged-up. The driving ban does not seem to have been a reason itself not to drive, at least for her.

Sometimes the system does seem like a game of logic - extrapolated. "In mitigation, my client can't manage her affairs in an adult way, was coked off her tits at the time and doesn't have any regard for the courts...". Bit like the "In mitigation, my client honestly did not see the cyclist".

Pay someone some money to break her kneecaps. Nothing else seems to be working with this being and when the legal system is failing everyday people, drastic actions are called for.

Threats of violence, however tongue in cheek, really aren't good.
In any case standing for public office would be more effective. This case is merely a symptom, not a discrete illness.

Take it from me ... Broken kneecaps don't stop you from driving once you've healed.
It was about 16 months before I could drive.

Stocks were used for local justice in days gone by. This could be updated with a live feed on social media so that anyone who cares can see what a complete failure she is. Bombardment with rotten fruit and vegetables, and no comfort to be expected. However no paperwork to be managed at all...
