I shot the threads on my cranks when removing an incredibly stubborn pedal last night. (lesson learnt - never ever install pedals without grease/lube and then forget about it until 5 years later!) Current crankset is Shimano 105, I'm looking to get a replacement left crank arm 172.5mm in black. Would happy consider used ones - am on a budget and the bike is only a winter bike so don't want to fork out money on brand new crank arm if I can get a second hand one for cheaper. So don't suppose any one of ye have a spare one lying in your shed that you'd be willing to sell?!

Search really hard on eBay. I needed a LH crank for my MTB  (seized clamp bolt), and after 6 weeks one of the precise part number came up brand new for £17. Arrived this morning, job done. My plan B was a used crankset.

Theres a full crankset on now cheap, and a brand new one at a more  expensive price.

I don’t have one, but I did have a similar problem. Search really hard on eBay. I needed a LH crank for my MTB  (seized clamp bolt), and after 6 weeks one of the precise part number came up brand new for £17. Arrived this morning, job done. My plan B was a used crankset.

Hey folks thanks for your replies and tips.

I managed to pick up a used crank arm earlier today in Dublin so I'm sorted now.

Happy pedalling this weekend!

Cheers!
