In the market for a new aero helmet? We've rounded up six of the best aero helmets we've reviewed recently

Aerodynamic helmets have become really popular in the last handful of years, with more brands competing to offer the most aerodynamic helmet that also strives to be well ventilated, lightweight, good looking (tricky that one) and comfortable.

Here at road.cc we've tested quite a few aero helmets over the years, but in the video above we've rounded up what we think are six of the best aero helmets currently available. We obviously don't have a wind tunnel to accurately test the claimed aero performance of each helmet (if anyone has a wind tunnel they'd like to share with us that would be grand) but there's still a lot to know before you shell out what in some cases is quite a lot of cash. So hit that play button and enjoy our video.

David has worked on the road.cc tech team since July 2012. Previously he was editor of Bikemagic.com and before that staff writer at RCUK. He's a seasoned cyclist of all disciplines, from road to mountain biking, touring to cyclo-cross, he only wishes he had time to ride them all. He's mildly competitive, though he'll never admit it, and is a frequent road racer but is too lazy to do really well. He currently resides in the Cotswolds.
