HOY bikes competition - we have a winner!

One man and his dog walk away with a unique HOY bike...

It's Friday - that means it's HOY bikes competition winner announcement day! We asked the big man himself which pic he thought encompassed that Autumn feel the best. And The pic he picked is the one above, submitted by user brylonscamel.

Sir Chris said of the pic, “I chose this picture because it captured the unmistakable Autumnal atmosphere and showed that cycling can be for everyone, even dogs!”. And it's his say that goes. So it's brylonscamel that wins the unique HOY bike! It'll be winging its way to Bristol very soon, let's hope he rides a large... 'cause that's what size it is. And if you see it pinging up Park Street, give him a wave. And his dog.

He won the one he's holding...

Thanks to everyone who submitted their photos and offered their expert* opinions on the shortlist choices, which are also in the gallery at the top of the story. And don't forget to check out the range of non-unique HOY bikes too.

Surely to be a winning photo the dog should be riding the bike.

A very poorly run competition for a great bike. The original entry date was the 'until the 18th Oct', which should have meant midnight of that day but the shortlist was chosen in the afternoon at some random time.

Then a piece of sentimentality wins!!

The terms of these comps need to be more closely adhered to as it is quite frankly amateurish!!!

Pity, cause that snap you had lined up for 11:59pm had what it took, eh?

I owe it all to Shep! 3 .. to be honest, I'm blown away - there were so many cracking photos I didn't really think we stood a chance.
