A challenging ride through quiet lanes and superb scenery, for 2013 offering a choice of distances from the
30 mile, “New Potato”, to the 60 mile, “Spud Riley Memorial”and the ultimate (very, very tough) 100 mile, “Polka Dot Challenge”
Half of the entry fee goes to Christie’s, the other half to club funds to be invested in grass-roots cycle promotion

“The Polkadot Challenge™ – “Spud” Riley Memorial Gran Fondo starts in Cheshire and travels into Derbyshire, Staffordshire and back into Derbyshire passing through the beautiful Dovedale area and into the true Peaks region. The majority of the climbs are short and steep, however the penultimate climb across the High Edge moors to join the top of the famous Cat & Fiddle is 5 miles in length. On the long route
