Video: Rapha-Condor JLT at the Tour of Britain

We've just been sent this video from Muc-Off, filmed at last month's Tour of Britain, following the (mostly) young Rapha-Condor JLT squad. This is from Stage 6, which started in Sidmouth and had a summit finish on Haytor, Dartmoor.

Simon Yates, riding for Great Britain and now headed with twin brother Adam to Orica-GreenEdge as first-year pros in 2014, won the stage.

It's one of the better videos we've seen in a while, a really insightful behind-the-scenes video with comment from Kristian House and team manger John Herety who, it would seem, is a natural in front of the camera.

It also gives a real flavour of just what it is like to be a professional bicycle racer; the nervous looking youngsters and the calm of the experienced racers like House.

That blend of youth and experience isn't an accident by the way; when, ahead of the 2012 season, we hooked up with the team at a training camp in Henley-on-Thames, Herety told us its new focus on younger talent would be complemented by having more experienced riders on board too to bring them along.

The latter include formerr British national champion House, Olympic gold medallist Ed Clancy and, until the end of the 2012 season, former national crit champion Dean Downing.

House himself won the mountains jersey in the 2012 Tour of Britain, and his defence started well as he got in the break on the opening stage in Scotland to become the first leader of the mountains classification in this year's race.

On Stage 2, however, he lost it to Movistar's Angel Madrazo who became a fixture in the break in the remainder of the race and kept the jersey all the way to London, with Team Sky's Sir Bradley Wiggins clinching the overall.
