That may be the case Ray, but the difference is that the points from the sprints counted towards the points competition, therefore the points competition included both sprint and finish line points, so we use that one

In the grand tours and other races run by ASO, like the Dauphine, the sprints and finish line points tend to be combined.

However in many other races, especially the smaller ones, the points competition and sprints competition tend to be separate.

Check the "how to play" page, gives some guidance. It appears that grand tours get everything scored and not clarified for other tours....

It was MY mistake on scoring notes. The Cat's are for Grand Tours. On normal tours its 1-however many score.

So if like today, 5 people score, It goes 5,4,3,2,1

So Hesjedal

22 for 4th
5 for climb
9 for 2nd overall in GC
5 for 1st overall in KOM

The JTL and Dombrowski is just about to be fixed 26

Something still seems wrong with the stage 2 scores;
Hesjedal for example;
22 for 4th
12 for cat 1 climb
9 for 2nd overall in GC
5 for 1st overall in KOM
Total 48 points for stage 2?
Other riders have similar anomalies.
Could I suggest that the general scoring notes for each stage be refined; I have been caught before on the intermediate vs overall points competition concept.
Cheers

Yo Gkam looks like you got your Dombrowskis mixed up with your JTLs. 3 points Dombrowski for 18th place; big fat zero for JTL at 119th! Thankyou, appreciate your great work but can I have my score updated please 4

That's just the point, rather than just handing out bonuses for the first few to finish a stage

The mountain is scored yes. Because it wasn't the finish line 3

Scores going up now

Also the final mountain will be scored correct? It was a good 2km from the finish, as you can see by who scored and where riders finished

RIGHT, I will not adjust stage one, but the points WILL be based on the SPRINT competition and NOT the points category, because the points is just based on finish line....

RIGHT, here goes. Because I know people are going to complain anyway.

It will ONLY be the intermediate sprint points that will count, because they are separate from the points competition in the TdS.

SO at the moment,

The POINTS competition looks like this

1 Cameron MEYER AUS OGE 25 15
2 Bauke MOLLEMA NED BLA 27 15
3 Ryder HESJEDAL CAN GRS 33 13
4 Mathias FRANK SUI BMC 27 13
5 Niki TERPSTRA NED OPQ 29 12

But that is PURELY based on finish line points, so it WILL NOT be scored in the game.

The SPRINT looks like this

1 Enrique SANZ ESP MOV 24 12
2 Adrian SAEZ ESP EUS 27 6
3 Johannes FRÖHLINGER GER ARG 28 1
4 Christophe RIBLON FRA ALM 32 1

and WILL be scored

Ok cheers , just makes it slightly harder to pick sprint point winners as most are likely going to be break riders ....again thx 1

There were seperate sprint/points competitions in the giro and we scored the points competition for positions at the end of stages and the sprint points for the first 3 to cross each point?

Not quite, there were sprint points throughout the stages in the Giro, those points were scored 6,4,2 for the first three.

These points were in the same competition as finish line points and the overall points reflected this.

With the TdS the Sprint and Points competitions are two different things

As they were in the Giro....Cav won the points competition and Andriato the sprints competition?

Messed up my transfers again :(. From now on I'll be using drh's penalty transfer tactics, and hopefully I can get this out of my system before the the TDF.
