We've got a review of the Sora version of the Mekk coming up, haven't read the review but I rode it home tonight and I was really impressed, the only thing I didn't like was the Sora front shifter which jammed leaving me in the big ring just before the final (steep) hill. The Tiagra version doesn't have that though.

I found the Mekk much nippier than I expected, flickable and resoponsive, I reckon it would be a good fun bike to ride and if I change my mind on the ride in to work tomorrow I'll let you know.

Haven't ridden the Merlin so can't pass comment on that, but perhaps someone else can help on that.

Thanks for that my vote for you at London Cycling Awards has been justified, Wiggle have the 2012 A1 PINEROLO AL 1.5 (TIAGRA)at a sale sale price of £599.99 but with Mavic CXP22 rims on Shimano hubs not the Shimano R500 do you think that would make much difference?
