Local bike shop campag specialist in S.Gloucestershire/ Cotswolds/ Bath/ Bristol

Hi I'm trying to find a LBS in the Cotswolds/South Glos/Bath/Bristol area that can cope with servicing my campagnolo equipped Bianchi. I've tried several bike shops and thus far none of them have done a great job. The trouble seems to be primarily with indexing the gears and adjusting the brakes as the bike inevitably comes back suffering from poor gear changes and, occasionally, with the brakes touching the rims - basic stuff you'd think! So far I've tried:

Striking Bikes (Gloucester) (a Bianchi dealer!!!) - brakes touching the rim,

John's Bikes (Bath) - poorly indexed,

Ride 24/7 (Cirencester) - poorly indexed,

Independent Bike Works (cirencester) - poorly indexed and badly adjusted brakes (though they did an excellent job on my SRAM equipped TT bike).

It's not a bike problem as I can readjust the brakes and sort out the indexing myself and it's fine, which makes me wonder why I bother paying for a service! I'm off to Majorca in March and have to get my bottom bracket replaced before I go and I don't want to be worrying about the quality of the job. Can anyone recommend an LBS for whom Campag isn't a foreign language please? Ta!

My mate, Shane Dickinson, owns and runs Cytek in Stroud - his pride and joy is a Cervelo running Campag Super Record - worth giving him a call on 01453 753330 as Campagnolo is certainly NOT a foreign language to him ! He fitted ceramic bearings into my Wilier's Centaur BB over a year ago and I have had no problems.

Webbs of Warmley (Bristol) had a bunch of Campag stuff in there last summer

They have a workshop that's good. I would guess they would be worth a try

Strada. Simply put - excellent. Sorted my campag out, professional bunch, friendly, loads of nice stuff to look at in the shop - highly recommended

Strada is a cracking shop. They built up my R5 11 speed campag.

They also service my TT weapon when i've really bodged it a bodge too far.

Recommended without reservation.

Have always had good service at Performance Cycles and it doesn't seem too expensive to me. They have fixed both my campag & shimano equipped bikes, including brakes, gear adjusting &, most recently, replaced a bottom bracket with no issues from me. My preference is to cycle my bike to them and wait whilst they carry out the repair.

Just in addition both Strada in Bristol and Performance in Poulton are "campag pro shops" but I've heard tales of high prices at Performance. Has anyone any first hand experience of either shop?
