Standard Team Giro Updates
I had opened up a public league for Standard players. The league is called Standard Players and its ID is 76269 
Now I'm using this thread to follow the action on the Standard side of things!

Exciting race but no surprises for the final day:

No surprise either in that the Top Jumps into the Top 25 were Premium Players. anita (ZACATON), who jumped 8 spots into No. 14 and johnny2names (johnny2names) jumped 11 spots into No. 19.
Well, brace yourselves for withdrawal symptoms!
PolishDave managed an upward jump of 2 places despite a maximum of 4 paltry transfers?
Pretty cool, huh? He brought in Mezgec for Di Luca on Stage 20, then he brought in Nizzolo, Viviani and Cavendish for Stage 21! Awesome play!
And no penalty transfers on the last day! 
29 points can easily be found with a gamble or two and the gamble paying off , in the ITT I gained 73 points on the people above me .
I'd be thrilled if that happened... But how many surprisies can a sprint finish have in it? I can't think of many, but I'd ceratinly love to see one! And how many risks will someone in the Top 25 be willing to take and lose their position so late in the game? I guess that's the dilemma at the end of a Grand Tour... Do I go for the gamble or do I play conservatively to not lose position?... I'm happy you got that boost on the ITT but I think ITT's are a little harder to predict than sprints... But I'd love a surprise today!

Barring a major mental breakdown by Premium Player presenrumu08, or a completely unpredictable outcome in tomorrow's stage, his team, Atle Kvasvoll, should win the competition.
His nearest competition, tony kappler, with team Mountain Renegade is a good 29 points behind. There's no way anyone can pull it off. Or is there? His other closest rival is Premium Player karlake2 with his team karlake2, a good 53 points behind. Who saved more transfers? Well, it probably won't matter. I can't imagine but that presenrumu08 will be the proud and well earned owner of a new Bianchi Via Nerone. Outstanding play!

Wow, we'll see tomorrow what happens... Huge ineherent advantage for Premium Players, because they can bring in 1, 2, 3 or more sprinters (any more might not be necessary, even if they're available!) without incurring any Penalty transfers, and no Standard player has an advantage to absorb that point blow, but (!), you never know!
(It's not about the bike! It's about playing the game!

It took me a while to figure this one out... I just realized that what I was doing was going over to the overall standings then hitting the "Show/Hide Premium Teams" button and copying the list here... When I pasted I didn't realize it was pasting the Premium Teams too... So, you're right!

11 Standrad Players in the Top 25. Mountain Renegade (tony kappler) is sitting pretty at No. 2 in the overall and rock n rouleurs (matanhale) is at No. 4.
Not that I've ever "seen" them here on the forum, but a hat's off to them!
I'm looking forward to seeing if a Standard Player can win the competition. It would completely debunk my theory that Premium Members have a huge advantage over Standard Players, but I'd be mightily impressed with the smarts, strategy and logic of these players! Thanks for a thrilling ride!
