Car boot space

I am thinking of changing my car for either an X-Type or S-Type Jaguar saloon and wondererd if I would still be able to fit my road bike minus the front wheel in the boot. I'm not sure if the back seats can be folded flat but would be interested to know if anyone on here ever managed.

Pardon my ignorance - is it a new X or S type ?

Cos if its new you should be able to afford some roof bars for your bike 4

You could always go for one of those fancy Jag estates Sky are using now instead? I had a saloon once with seats that didn't fold, and cross-bracing across the back. Never again. Estates FTW 1

I know that the X-type does have split fold rear seats and you should be able to fit your bike in. I don't know about the S type. I have an XF (S-type replacement) that also has split fold rear seats and i can comfortably get my road bike in if i remove the front wheel. The annoying thing is that i can almost fit it in without removing the front wheel but it is about 10 cm too long! 14
