Didi the Devil and his Bottle Bike (picture courtesy Shift Active Media)Didi the Devil is back - and he's got a new bike!
Each year Eurobike gives plenty of reasons to be cheerful, showcasing the latest bikes, but few will be as welcome this year as the Bottle Bike created by Didi Senft, better known as Didi the Devil, who was missing from the roadside at the Tour de France in July for the first time in nearly two decades while he was recovering from brain surgery.
Didi may not quite be up to his trademark leaping up and down at the roadside trident in hand just yet, but he's obviously been busy putting together his latest creation, incorporating dozens of bidons, for the bike museum he runs in his home town of Storkow near Berlin.
The 60-year-old had to have blood clots removed from his brain earlier this year, but it's great to see him back in his costume and hopefully it won't be too long before we see that painted trident on the road surface at big races, warning the riders that he's waiting a little further along to give them his own unique brand of encouragement.

If, as a cyclist, I don't jump a red light, I do not stop any other cyclists jumping that red light....
Oh, and for long rides (100 miles ish) a whole pack of fig rolls and a couple of jam sandwiches normally does my fuelling.
That "old lane" as you call it, is 1) very much open, some misguided cyclists still use it. I used it once, vowed never to again and I block ride...
Confusingly there seem to be two Millicent roads which cross at approximately right angles, the one that is north-east to south-west is the one...
