Best bib shorts?

i seek your help, advice and experience in trying to find a pair of really good, comfortable, durable high performing bib shorts for around the £100 - 150 mark.I currently have a pair of Assos unos, which are great, but are my only pair of bib shorts, and i want something a bit different for my second pair.I have had some really bad bib shorts in the past which sounded good in reviews etc, but on wearing they were uncomfortable and not well made. So, you can't beat hearing from peolpe who actually use these things on a regualr basis on long, hot rides etc.Look forward to hearing from folk..........

I go for Team Wiggle shorts. The trade-off for having their advert all down your leg is that they use better materials and pads than their standard dhb own-brand shorts and they were a few quid cheaper than standard ones when I bought them.

thanks for your comments so far chaps, some useful ideas. This is what i wanted to find out - if there are any hidden gems out there that you would think would be poor because of a lower price, but in fact are mixing it with the big boys. You expect Rapha, Assos etc to be good because you've paid big money for them, so you're not really blown away like when you discover a cheaper bib short which more than matches them.

Hi - got to side with russyparkin.
I've had most of the suspects and expensive ones mentioned over the years, however I purchased 2 sets of DHB Aeron pro's and they are by far the best I've had. I know 'bottoms' are a personal thing but for me I can honestly say these are the most comfortable I have ever owned and you could buy 3 or 4 sets for the price of one of the expensive ones.

Hope it helps.

dhb aeron race are very good, i pick them for preference over my rapha and endura shorts. think £45 a pair. the pad is cytech who make pads for everyone in reality. good construction and loads of colour options

I love my Sugoi Evolutions, they are the most expensive and comfiest I've ever bought, I honestly can't imagine what benefits an extra £70 could possibly buy, I probably just have a cr*p imagination 1

Giordana Body Clone... as good as Castelli and Assos (actually, better) and about two thirds of the price.

Last well too. I've got two pairs still going after four years of weekly wear.

I have recently bought some Rapha shorts. They are the most expensive bibs I've ever owned at £145 but they are extremely comfortable and fit well. Can't compare with Assos as I haven't tried them but I guess if Mark Beaumont can cycle round the world in them then they must be good.

Having bought several pairs of bibs because they were in the sales, I can safely say nothing compares to my new Assos Mille shorts. So much better than anything I've worn before. Why do you need anything else?
