At road.cc every product is thoroughly tested for as long as it takes to get a proper insight into how well it works. Our reviewers are experienced cyclists that we trust to be objective. While we strive to ensure that opinions expressed are backed up by facts, reviews are by their nature an informed opinion, not a definitive verdict. We don't intentionally try to break anything (except locks) but we do try to look for weak points in any design. The overall score is not just an average of the other scores: it reflects both a product's function and value – with value determined by how a product compares with items of similar spec, quality, and price.

The Ride Pro Aquazero arm warmers are made in Italy but designed with the UK climate in mind. Super Roubaix panels are sewn into an anatomical shape with a bend in the elbow so they don't bunch up when you're on the bike. They have silicone silicone grippers top and bottom to keep them in place.

The fabric is very soft to the touch and feels nice against the skin. Its fleecy on the inside so low single figure temperatures are not a problem and they're still comfortable if the temperature does creep up mid-ride. They're light enough to easily stow away in your back pocket if the sun does come out.

The fit is spot on. The anatomical shape keeps them smooth as you bend your arms at various angles so you can keep them on all day

The water repellent coating works well. Road spray and light rain beads and when the water does finally soak through the Super Roubaix material keeps you warm so its no big issue. They're similar to Castelli Nanoflex or Sportful No-Rain armwarmers in effectiveness.

Thanks to the silicone grippers the Aquazero arm warmers stay put even on arms that lack what you'd call proper biceps. This prevents that irritating gap between bottom of jersey sleeve and top of warmer.

There is a small reflective logo on one sleeve which might just be enough to get your arm noticed in the dark when signalling but I wouldn't rely on it.

All in all the Ride Pro Aquazero arm warmers are very comfortable, warm and the water resistance is a bonus. At just £19.99 there is a lot of quality here for very little outlay. They come in medium and large sizes, and any colour you want as long as its black.

Verdict

Top quality arm warmers at a cracking price. The coating gives them versatility and the fit is top notch.
