I've just built a bike with the Cannondale Evo frameset. It's my first carbon bike so I can't really give you a comparison to others. Apart from the headline light weight there is so much more to this frame. It just oozes quality. The ride is ridiculously smooth so it seems that the SAVE technology is doing whatever it is supposed to do.
I have the white/black frame and although it isn't as light as the naked version it is utterly gorgeous IMO.
I have built it with Ultegra and transferred the Shimano RS80's from my old bike. Nothing desperately lightweight there along with an alloy cockpit and speedplay pedals it still comes in at 6.9kg. SRAM red and some lightweight tubs would see it comfortably under 6kg which is just ridiculous.
Cannondale offer a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects so they obviously expect it to last despite the feather weight.
If you are thinking of putting a Shimano group on it then you won't be able to use the crank. There is an adapter to fit it to the PF30 BB but Cannondale don't recommend it as there have apparently been reports of binding. I didn't want to chance it so went for an FSA SL-K Light BB30 crank which is nice and light and seems pretty damned stiff. The other option C'dale recommend is their own hollowgram crankset but the bank manager wouldn't run to that $$$$$$$$$$.
I've only put about 350km on it at the moment but I couldn't be happier.
