keeping my whites white
Hi all
I like white jackets or black and white jerseys, as they help with the visibility and look good with my CAAD10 
However road spray and crash grime is really hard to get out of the fabric. A mix of tyre rubber, oil and mud seems to stay in even after several washes. This is true of a pair of shutt vr bib shorts, a rapha gilet and a gore windstopper jersey.
I usually use a 30 wash, mixed load and non-bio liquid. I think I need to try stronger stuff. Any suggestions as to things to try that won't ruin the nice fabrics? Is it worth trying stain removers or do these do bad things to windstopper etc

Would these tips work on white y fronts?
@gkam84 thanks, trying the vanish now, found some lurking at the back of the cupboard.
@TheHatter, I had some mudguards, but took them off in the good weather last month. Just one crash. washed out on loose dirt on the road, but got grime all up one arm and across the side of my gilet and it's not shifting despite several washes.
@kafylou I'll try the fairy trick on some of the smaller stains

ps how often are you crashing for 'crash grime' to be such an issue?
Vanish stain remover is my secret weapon, put everything you want to get white in a bucket with cold water and put in some Vanish, overnight, then in the morning, put you washing on as normal, but stick some Vanish straight into the machine through the door, not the tray.

Try dotting fairy liquid on the oily marks, I've found this works better than any commercial stain removed if items aren't too delicate give it a bit of a rub too.
