Specifically : South Wales! Any Sportive or Audax for 2012 ??

Just a thought about sportives and audax listings for the south Wales area? there doesn't seem to a great deal going on! Other areas seem to have quite a number of events throughout the year; but not many organised cycle events in south Wales (before someone mentions the Dragon Ride) apart from the two over subscribed and expensive to enter events! Would anyone know of some smaller organised rides taking place during 2012?

Sorry Dave, now realise your a young man! The Guy I knew had the same name as you, but he was about 5/6 years younger than me - I'm 64, years young!

I remember running with a guy with the same name : Dave Atkinson. Participated in many Marathons in the 70's and 80's My best for the Marathon was 2hours 38, minutes! If your the Dave Atkinson I knew back then? You were slightly quicker than me; well, on most occasions.

Thanks for the link BTW

The FoD spring classic isn't in wales exactly but it's well worth riding. there's a bunch of audax rides that head out from south wales too, check out http://aukweb.net/events/map/

I'd also like to know as the guy I lent my pump to yesterday was doing the Ajax100 http://www.cardiffajaxcycling.co.uk/news/100-mile-reliability-ride-regis... which I had to google later to find out what he was on about. The ones I'm aware of in my neck of the woods are:

Thanks for the links! Very much appreciated. I may try the Pendine 43, miler as a slow ride back to fitness; and a bit of socialising.
