BIG Shoe sizing help

Hi Guys,

Ok so I know I have big ish feet a 47 in my workboots. But I never thought it would be soo hard to get a pair of road shoes to fit. Having limited bike shops with limited stock here on the sunshine coast australia does not help as most shops dont want to get get big sizes in for me to try because they may be left with them on the shelf if i dont buy and i dont think crusty the clown is into cycling yet.

Ok so here is the question: I managed to try a 48 in shimano R087( slightly too tight lengthways) but a 49 is way too big ( for even my monsters) 2
could anyone suggest another brand and size that may have a slightly bigger fitting than shimano size 48.

any help would be greatly appreciated as I may have to order off the net to get my sizing.........a recipe for disaster

cheers guys

I use a 48 specialized and they are great. They are wider than the normal Sidi but not as wide as the mega versions.

You can order them online and send back if they don't fit. For the record, I've never been comfortable in Shimano shoes and sidi 48 is a bit small for me (too short). I guess I am a normal UK 13.

Thanx for your help guys.

I found a pair of scott shoes 48 at one of my LBSs and they fit like a glove. So I guess my quest is over....until that is...I need a new pair.

Cheers

I have Sidi pro genius 5's in a size 50. I bought them from wiggle. if you're lucky, you'll get a discount like I did.
