Easter eggs on sale

So, the official easter egg buying window starts now 1

where's the best place to go for a bargain? i heard talk that some retailers had sold out because they didn't think that people would want comforting seasonal chocolate in this time of recession and fear. go figure.

Whittards £1 an egg… big egg

Thorntons had a load too - don't think they count as cheap though

i'm surprised there were any smarties eggs left, most of the UK stock seemed to be at the cotswold spring classic sportive 1

At a guess thorntons or hotel chocolat may be a good bet....the easter eggs they sell are so expensive that they must have some left.

My last minute search on Saturday sent me round several supermarkets and all had gone except for a few Smarties eggs (not really suitable for my wife) my last resort was my local paper shop which lucky had something ideal, still in her good books.

I think my mother-in-law bought all the Lindt Bunnies. At least, there was one each for all the adults at the big family get-together on Sunday...
