Anyone else got problems displaying the site in IE8?

For the last day or so I've had problems displaying some of the pages, especially Home, in a coherent format. For want of a better term it's all over the place.

Some sub pages display properly but not all.

I've tried closing and re-opening the tab, rebooting the system, even turning it off and back on and it makes no difference. I have three other tabs open; Facebook, Bike Pure and eBay and they are all fine so I'm assuming it's something to do with road.cc and my computer but it's worked perfectly up til now so I'm a bit stuck.

Help!!! 102

You'd be surprised how many people still have to use IE6 at work because upgrading means doing security and compliance work with another browser and that means money... having said that, road.cc doesn't explicity support IE6; it pretty much works but even Microsoft are stopping supporting it now and it's just not worth the development time to hack the code about to make it just right. IE7 and onwards are supported, as are Firefox, Safari, Opera and Chrome: supported in the sense of if it isn't working, let us know and we'll try and fix it 1

Incidentally it might not be long before IE isn't the biggest slice of the browser pie on road.cc, Firefox and Safari are almost at the same level. And Chrome has managed to get half as big a share as IE already...

Well done Dave, that could easily have been a needle-in-haystack job.

I'm surprised so many people still use IE.

I have used Opera and Firefox for years (would struggle without some add-ons) both made IE6 look ponderous and restrictive. I also find them both better than Safari on the Mac. I can't think of a reason to use IE any more.

Is it any better now? sounds like a CSS issue, been fiddling with the knobs on the back of the server.
