Who will win Milan San Remo

It's the 100th Milan San Remo tomorrow and I'm thinking about putting something back into the economy by having a little bet, but who shall carry the weight of thebikeboy's shillings?

Lance says Thor is his favourite and I've got a feeling he could be right that CTT train looks pretty slick when it gets going. But then what about Petacchi? He's coming back to his best and he's got form in this race. Boonen… he's a 'big game' player or maybe Cav, butt this is his first time out and it is a long way.

My other hunch is someone like Chavanel - he's the sort of aggressive rider who might be able to attack and keep it together to the end.

Oh, and you can get 100-1 on Lance 39

So who would you go for?

...what more can I ask, a British rider that can win the big classics, Tour stages and track events.

I had faith in Cav, could he be the new Sean Kelly - early days I know, but you can but hope.

...and I reckon he's got the desire to win a classic. He's also going well at the moment, and the backing of a good lead out train.

Chavanel would be great to see, he'll probably attack after 4k, and keep on doing it if they reel him back, he is such a great rider for entertainment value.

My money is on Cav, but that's just because I really want him to win it.

it is a long, long ride. He is strong and is clearly a great sprinter but I think that one of the 'big' guys could win. As has been said on here, Boonen is a big game player and has the experience. I think he will be up there along with Thor Hushovd.

I want Cav to win, if he is up there in the final 10km then it is playing into his hands.

The big Italian gets my vote.

Top work from Cav, don't know how it could have been closer and you have to say he looks in awesome form. Another great showing for the Cervelo boys, they're looking mighty strong this year...

Well I'm going for Hushovd - partly because we did an interview with him a few weeks back where he said it was one of his targets for the season. He looked good at the ToC and his team have looked really good. He can win big races and he can go the distance.
