Video: Six of the best Italian road bikes from Colnago, Wilier, De Rosa, 3T, Pinarello and Bianchi

We round up some of the hottest new Italian road bikes available right now

For many cyclists, nothing is quite as evocative as an Italian road bike, and we've rounded up six of the hottest new road bikes available right now. There's the new Colnago V2-r, Pinarello's latest Dogma F10, the radical new 3T Strada, Bianchi's lightweight Specialissima, the tech-laden Wilier Centos 10 NDR and lastly the beautiful De Rosa Protos.

While many Italian bikes aren't actually made in the country these days, there's no getting away from the heritage, pedigree and first-class design these bikes offer compared to their main rivals. You don't buy an Italian bike because you want the best value for money, it's often said you buy an Italian bike with your heart. You're making a statement about who you are as a cyclist. There's no resting on laurels here though, each of these bikes is as state-of-the-art as it comes, combining the latest aerodynamic understanding and manufacturing processes to create true superbikes.
