Tax Neo and disc brake bikes
I'm a newbie to turbos and have invested in a Tacx Neo but have a Giant defy disc bike. The disc callipers are hard up against the side of the Neo (after adding the 135mm axle spacer too). I'm concerned at the extra stress this will put on the calliper contact point with the seat stays because they will flex under power but the calliper can't move.
I have searched the internet as much as possible to see if anybody has experience but I can't find anything and the Tacx forum seems to be rarely used so I thought I would try the trusty road.cc forum and see if any of you chaps/ladies have any advice. I'm guessing it will be the same advice for any other direct drive trainer if the calliper is up against it. I'm wondering whether it is worth changing to a different brand.

Thanks all. Looks like there is no easy solution for quick changes. May have to invest in a turbo specific bike or maybe a Kickr.......
BTW - love my disc brakes on the road - not so on the turbo
disc brakes are just great aren't they?!
They're fantastic, but I digress. slacken the caliper or remove completely. I use a Kickr and don't have issues of my caliper, but I had when I first got it the long cage derailleur touching the plastic cowling. I trimmed a section with my band saw, all is well. I note kickr V2 has improved the cowling and this problem is removed.
Its a bit of a bodge and mildly time consuming, but maybe remove the rear caliper (you won't need your rear brake while you are on the Neo) from the frame if you are worried about it? Use a zip tie to hold it to chain stay so it doesn't get in the way.
