GPS navigation apps for android

Does anyone have any recommendations for GPS navigation apps for the Android operating system? I have Google maps of course but would prefer to pay for UK maps up front rather than download them as I go and use up lots of internet time on my phone...

Thanks!

Also it caches OpenCycleMap tiles, so if you know where you're going you can walk yourself round the route somewhere with a wifi connection and you won't pay download charges on the road

I've got Viewranger running on my HTC Desire - full review coming up soon on the site but suffice to say i really like it. The full feature list hasn't been ported to Android yet but as it stands it's fully functional and you can either buy mapping up front, download OS maps on the go or use open source maps. it's not exactly cheap though.
