Welsh Cycling is looking for female participants who want to explore the benefits of cycling as part of a 12 week study which will culminate in them taking part in a 64km cycle event.
As part of the study Welsh Cycling is undertaking with Nudjed, women over 16 are being invited to see whether cycling can make them get fit, feel healthier, have more energy, live longer and feel happier.
The project is suitable to any woman new or relatively new to cycling who would like to work towards a cycling challenge with the support of Breeze and Nudjed.
Cat Crimmins, Women and Girls Officer, Welsh Cycling said: “We are hoping that this project with Nudjed will encourage more women and girls to take part in cycling and demonstrated the benefits cycling can have on your lifestyle in a short period of time.
“It will be great to see the participants progress over the 12-week period and hopefully continue to cycle as part of Breeze or with our cycling clubs in Wales.”
Participants will follow a 12 week training plan that will allow you to successfully complete a 64km cycle event at the end of it.
The support from Welsh Cycling and Nudjed includes:
· Closed Facebook group for participants to share ideas or to arrange meet ups for rides. This Facebook group will also have daily health and cycling tips
· Fortnightly healthy newsletters
· Subscription to the Nudjed Healthy Week with intelligent technology and behavioural science to deliver personalised advice and guidance that helps you achieve your health and fitness goals
· An easy to follow weekly training plan
· Email support from the Breeze team in Wales
· Information on all Breeze rides in your area and the opportunity to meet like-minded women
· On the day support at a nominated event from the Breeze team in Wales: Daisy Chain sportive at Llandrindod Wells, taking place on Sunday 10 July 2016
At the start, middle and end of the project you will be asked to complete a simple questionnaire.
If you want to be part of the project, please contact Cat Crimmins, Women and Girls Officer at breeze [at] welshcycling.co.uk to register your interest.

Quite. I was wondering where the cycling infrastructure is located that causes drivers to go 90 on the M3?
