Tour of California Stage 6: Sagan takes second win and this time it looks effortless

AToC clearly reveals a new star in the firmament

First-year professional Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Doimo) won his second consecutive stage of the Tour of California this evening our time at Big Bear Lake, surely one of the most beautiful bike race finishes ever seen. The riders had to complete 12,000 feet of climbing over 135 miles to arrive at the alpine style resort, which they could only visit this year for the first time due to the move of the race from February to May.

Overall, Michael Rogers (HTC-Columbia), Dave Zabriskie (Garmin-Transitions) and Levi Leipheimer (RadioShack) couldn't quite overcome the 20 year old Slovakian on the line but they all remained firmly in contention and ready for the 30 km time-trial showdown tomorrow on the streets of downtown Los Angeles.
