Hi Road.cc readers,
I'm keen to hear your thoughts on a clever new type of bicycle pump, that I have just launched on Kickstarter (and has been awarded “Staff pick”)

It's called CrankPump and it's a CO2 pump that lives in the hollow axle of cranks.
The idea is that it's a fit-and-forget replacement for the standard plastic cap on Shimano cranks. It also has a set of "TyreZip" levers that are pretty interesting.

For some people, not having to carry a pump and levers in your saddle-bag is a small advantage that lets you carry another gel or use a smaller saddle bag. For other people, it lets them get rid of their saddle-bag entirely, by stuffing a spare tube under the seat. If you're going to carry a CO2 pump and levers, then it's gear to carry them somewhere neat that you never need to think about.

It's a Softride Rocket - they stopped making them a whole ago, but they are great bikes that start conversations.

Thats really neat. Its a good partial solution but still need a tube and possibly a multi tool along for the ride as ratfink says so in some ways is solving a problem that doesn't exist. Good luck though. The TyreZips are good on their own as well

You've given me an idea where to hide some emergency polos though.
