Frameset

So this is not a best bike for a £1000 post, but a best (IYHO) £1000 frame set. I am happy to go + 50% but will try and stick to the grand if possible.

So far I have looked at every thing from Colnago to Raliegh.

My personal faves so far are:

Starley & kinesis Aithein, also the ribble aero frame has caught my eye, and for no other reason than I like the look.

Not interested in far sports china etc, and I have searched ebay for weeks... But 4 year old colnagos are going for the nearly new price on the odd occasions, which I find ridiculous.
So if anyone has had any good experiences with buying a brands frame set let me know.

I weigh 77kg, I like to ride my bike as fast as I can, and also just pootle in the sunshine without the numbers. I love hills so lightness is a factor.

Any and all objective comments welcome.

Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions, will take a look.

Yes, I am not adverse to going secondhand, as I have a couple of friends who got fantastic bikes/frame purchased from one summer wonders who moved on to the next big thing.

For some reason canyon don't push any buttons for me, my logic says they are a great bit of kit but my monkey doesn't find them sexy.

Kinesis gran fondo, and excellent do it all bike.
It's light, has mudguard and rack fittings.

It's fast and comfortable too + you can build it up with all your favorite parts

You're looking second hand as well as new?
I reckon I'd look at Canyon SLX or BMC team Machine, for no other reason than I like their aesthetics the most.

Wilier GTR? I have the older GT and if the new frame is anything like it, it's a great frame for the money
