Enrique, as far as im aware the points didn't get removed, as it goes for this race it was an error on my part as it should have stated in stage 1 scoring, as I knew there was a YR jersey to be awarded

As for the Giro that is not my race and cannot comment 100%, id check the scoring notes once the race is open and any issues I will check with Dave. The only info I can give you is that I don't believe a YR jersey was awarded after the Team Prologue opening stage in 2011.

I had to (!) look it up:

The fault was with Sky who kept changing their roster until the last moment, not the guys who do such an excellent job running road.cc. I suppose one could sit on the computer until the last minute, but you would think an hour before cutoff would be OK. What is so annoying is that it was so obvious you needed 2 Sky men; anyone would have done the job. I had consided Sutton at one point in time but he was also pulled out of the team, leaving only 6 Sky riders.
Cheers

Congrats Cherry, I have been keeping an eye on you, your a very good judge mate...well done.
Likewise Igot caught up in the Sky debarcle, but Ihad Meintjes in my purist team as Ifound him at the worlds last year, was a very good second or 3rd in the youth with howson and mohoric and co...promising young rider. As is DAMIEN HOWSON.

Congratulations cherrypicked. My 1st win also. Feel slightly diddled by missing 16 points cos of the Henao/Boswell debacle.
Cheers

I had not read that far down that thread so had no idea...sounds like there was some conflicting information around at the time.
I don't think we can't hold the from what i understand volunteer admins to update every minute of the day. My advice is, if you are definite someone is riding but they are grey, leave them in. I've done that before. You can even select them if they are not in current rider list by changing to all riders.

I apologise for this, as it was partially my fault, however quite alot of blame goes with sky messing about with there teams, and also the unfortunate timing of the final startlist release (An hour earlier and it would have been sorted Monday night). But as I say all I can do is apologise, and hope it doesn't happen again so close to a deadline.

I'm still wondering... did the points get removed? Were they ever awarded? 39 By the way, since the Giro starts out with a TTT, will the Young Rider Classification points be awarded for Stage 1 if the jersey is awarded? I'm wondering why, as Tony says, the scoring information didn't include the Young Rider Jersey and it wasn't mentioned for Stage 1. Was that a mistake or is it designed that way? Just want to understand and, obviously, I don't want to get caught out for the Giro... 39

I missed the deadline for Stage 1 of Trentino and want to put in a team for Romandie as quickly as possible. Any news on this one? Thanks! 1

Glad I had the cojones to pick Meintjes last night rather than take the easy option of Monsalve's king of the mountain jersey.

Oh wait, I didn't.

Meintjes is in my VDS team at least.

I don't know how it works, because you are both on the same score.

But I wouldn't celebrate to much 3

Poor day, didnt take that much notice yesterday and swapped out Niemiec for Igor Anton - bah, bring on Romandie !

EDIT: my pursit did canny now that i've seen Wiggins and Duarte in the top 20, so i think thats about 5 scoring purists so not bad after all.

Ditto + 17,18 for a full house 1
My two mistakes were dropping Duarte instead of Anton, and bringing in Bongiorno instead of Pellizotti - both (metaphorical) coin-toss decisions last night 2
